Amid ongoing investigations from the police in connection with the tragic passing of rapper AKA, his bodyguard Anwar ‘Dogg’ Khan says protocol was breached on the day he was murdered.
AKA was killed outside WISH restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
Speaking to Annika Larsen last night on etv, Khan said in his absence protocol was breached.
“In my absence, protocol was breached. Kiernan was called and invited to go to Florida Road’s Wish restaurant, which he accepted”.
The bodyguard says if he were present “protocol would not have been breached, simply because that call would’ve come through the road manager.”
Giving an update on the murder investigation of AKA, The KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi revealed that CCTV is assisting them immensely.
“We want to encourage communities to come on board and share information. The investigation of Mr. Forbes who was murdered last month; the majority of the work we did thus far it is because of the help from the community. The different cameras in that vicinity are not installed by the state, but it is those cameras that are helping us to analyze and identify some of those people who might have been involved and it helps us to make linkages,” he told the national broadcaster,” Mkhwanazi told SABC news.
