Former US president Donald Trump slams fake images of being arrested.
Several fake images of former president Donald Trump being detained have been circulating on social media amid reports that he may have been charged.
Eliot Higgins, the founder and creative head of the investigative journalism website Bellingcat, posted a fabricated image of Trump being arrested on Tuesday.

Higgins released a number of other posts that included fake images created by artificial intelligence (AI) of Trump and members of his family arguing with law enforcement as well as an image of the former president in a cell.

As New York prosecutors contemplate charges regarding a hush money payment to a porn star, the contentious former statesman announced he would be arrested on Tuesday and urged supporters to demonstrate.
Donald Trump took to his social media Truth Social and posted:
“Illegal leaks from a corrupt & highly political Manhattan district attorney’s office … indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven … the far & away leading Republican candidate & former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,”
