The cast of Fatal Seduction has described the provocative sex scenes on the thrilling Netflix series as choreographed dance sequences which were put together by experienced intimacy coaches.
This, they say is what gives the raunchy adulterated scenes the realism that has made the series such a hit with South African audiences.
With no restrictions of a watershed period, the series is back with Volume 2 on Friday, 04 August.
Speaking to TshisaLive, actress Kgomotso Christopher says as sexy as the racy scenes look, there are actually a lot of technical details that go into it behind the scenes to make sure the actors are comfortable.
“The scenes become easy when you have the resources of intimacy coaches, who choreographed all those stunts you have seen.
It’s not us, we don’t know what we’re doing. I always say credit to our intimacy coaches. We would have to spend hours and hours before shooting a scene just to prep, and it’s pretty much like a dance choreography.
How to do this, and that, and then we have to practice it and then we go into the aspect of what do you feel comfortable wearing.”

Not only is there a lot of preparation before the sex scenes are filmed, but wardrobe has to be precise to make the “illusion of nudity” is achieved, whilst still making sure everything works, and that the actors are comfortable.
“That’s something that people are also not aware of, is that as actors we are very clear as to what, and how we are shooting, and whether we are happy that we are shooting in that way. The approval comes from us.”
