The Gauteng Provincial Government has formally launched its e-Panic app, Gauteng e-Panic. The panic button was developed as a means of combating both crime and the ongoing problem of domestic abuse in Gauteng.
The response team is well equipped to help locals in their time of need, and the program is free to utilize, according to the province government.

Bonginkosi Dhlamini, the Gauteng MEC for e-Government, has urged all citizens to make use of this free service.
“The Gauteng Panic Button is a testament to the progress made by the provincial government to create a safer environment for everyone in the province. By downloading and using this app, you can protect yourself and your loved ones in times of emergency,”
“The Gauteng Panic Button is not just a tool; it’s a lifeline. It is an initiative by the Gauteng Provincial Government to ensure that all our residents are safe at all times,”
