Today marks three years since the passing of the legendary Botswana-born South African actor, Shona Ferguson.
His wife, Connie Ferguson shared a heartfelt letter to her late husband, noting that there will never be anyone like him.
“One of One! There will never be another! A KING! A LEGEND! The GOAT!
“Today marks 3 years since your departure my SKAT. Still feels unreal, but unreal has become our reality and we’re living with it.”
Connie also mentioned that their faith helped them get through the toughest times.
“Our faith has carried us through the worst and we’re still here, thinking about you, missing you, remembering you, loving you and thanking God for all the beautiful memories shared together. Death is not final, for as long as we remember you, you live! LONG LIVE KING SHO!”
On what would’ve been Shona Ferguson’s 50th birthday this year, Connie shared what she described as one of her favourite videos of her late husband.
“My SKAT, this is one of my favorite videos of you. You were casually driving and feeling yourself! Playing one of your favorite songs. Then you noticed me driving behind you, and your attention completely shifted to me. “That’s ma waaarf!” You said with pride and then broke into your famous laugh. Oh, how I miss that laugh! I was equally proud to call you my husband and was so blessed to be loved by you!’
She also revealed that Shona was looking forward to his 50th birthday with anticipation and had already started planning for it.
