Melinda Ferguson claims Anele’s father, Moses Tembe “voluntarily contributed” information about his late daughter, which can be found in her book, When Love Kills: The tragic tale of AKA and Anele.
The author who made startling allegations of threesomes and foursomes on the night Anele, who was engaged to rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, died set the record straight on Moses Tembe’s contribution towards the book.
While Moses Tembe denied commissioning Ferguson’s book, the author shared in a statement that the grieving father sat down with her and shared his daughter’s story.
“Over the past fortnight there has been much confusion around the participation of Moses Tembe, Anele Tembe’s father in my book, When Love Kills.
Moses sat down with me after I approached him to discuss the untimeous loss of his daughter and his deep grief.
It is absolutely true, as his spokesperson stated, that he did not commission the book, or make any form of financial contribution or compensate the project in any way.
Moses voluntarily agreed to talk to me about the life of his daughter, Anele.”

Anele, was just 22-years old when she died after allegedly falling from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town on 11 April 2021.
Ferguson, who doesn’t believe the daughter of the influential businessman jumped to her death, details a toxic love affair between the slain rapper and Anele.
Tales of drug use, a physical fight and Anele screaming hysterically moments before she plunged off the balcony to her death, are some of the “crazy stuff” that went down that night, according to Melinda Ferguson.
AKA’s parents, Tony and Lynn Forbes have distanced themselves from Melinda Ferguson’s book, calling the timing “distasteful and opportunistic.”
Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was gunned down outside a restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February 2023.
Five men are currently facing charges which include 2 counts of murder, 4 for attempted murder, 2 charges for the possession of firearms and ammunition, and 1 for conspiracy to commit murder.
Two others are awaiting extradition from eSwatini.
