Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, is reportedly recovering after a brutal attack inside a California prison on Monday.
A post shared on his social media channels detailed the shocking incident, claiming Lanez was “stabbed 14 times” at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, where he is currently serving a 10-year sentence for the 2020 shooting of fellow rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
The post outlined the severity of the alleged assault, stating Lanez suffered “7 wounds to his back, 4 to his torso, 2 to the back of his head, and 1 to the left side of his face.”
The statement further revealed the rapper’s critical condition, noting that “both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing apparatus.”
The post also included a message of gratitude to supporters, adding, “He also wants to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support.”
Details surrounding the alleged attack remain scarce, and authorities at the California Correctional Institution have yet to release an official statement.
