Musician and reality star Kelly Khumalo has shockingly revoked her nomination and has humbly asked that the SA Music Awards (SAMAs) remove her from the nominations list.
Kelly who has been nominated this year in the ‘Best Afro Pop Album’ category alongside Vusi Nova, Simmy, Azania and Manu Worldstar wants nothing to do with this years awards.

She took to social media on Wednesday with a plea to SAMAs to please respect her hard work and effort.
“Dear Samas, I humbly ask that you remove my work out of what ever category you might have nominated me for. As much as I respect what you do, I also ask that you respect my hard work and effort,” wrote Kelly.

Kelly Khumalo had an amazing 2020, launching her Gin “Controversy”, she also allowed South African audiences into her life, with Life With Kelly Khumalo, and shared beautiful music which was loved by many South Africans.
Her song Empini was a December anthem across the country, three months ago she released Ngathwala Ngaye ft. Mondli Ngcobo which has over 1.4 million views.
