Msaki emerges from her hiatus to lend her support to Black Coffee.
Just a few weeks ago, the talented singer/songwriter Msaki made it known that she would be taking a break from performing, with only a select few shows on her agenda.
However, on Thursday morning, she couldn’t contain her excitement as she revealed her plans to step out of hibernation for a very special event. Msaki will be gracing the stage at Black Coffee’s send-off show in Johannesburg, a prelude to his groundbreaking performance at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York on October 7, 2023.
Revealing his supporting acts recently, Black Coffee said that each guest he chose to join him on this significant milestone in his life “played a special part” in his musical journey.
South African acts who’ll be joining Black Coffee on stage include Msaki, Major League DJz, Bucie, as well as a 12-piece orchestra.
When Black Coffee first announced his one-man show in March this year, he said it has always been one of his “biggest dreams to take this music and sound to the highest level possible and to expose it to the largest audience imaginable,” and so he’s dreamt of a show at the Madison Square Garden for years.
Additionally, the Grammy Award winner has announced an after-party for his one-man show, which will take place at the Brooklyn Mirage.
Tickets go on sale today.
