Dr Nandipha Magudumana has released a statement through her lawyers.
Nandipha Magudumana has released a statement to her supporters that made outspoken accusations of mistreatment and injustice.
In the statement she has threatened to reveal the physical, mental, financial, and sexual abuse she alleges to have experienced before being imprisoned.
She also claimed that some of the most well-known families in South Africa were responsible for her misery.
She and Thabo Bester were apprehended in Tanzania in April and she is accused of aiding and abetting Bester’s escape from lawful custody, defeating the ends of justice, arson, fraud, and violating a corpse.
“As women’s month comes to an end I’m reminded about the struggles women face in our country. In the near future, I will soon be in a position to give you deeper insight on… my painful experience at the correctional facility including the plight of woman inmates and the violation of their human rights,” wrote Magudumana
