Kelly Khumalo has sent her supportive fans a message of gratitude, for their unwavering backing amid public backlash over the gospel singer’s possible implication in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
Last week, Kelly was the subject of mass cries calling for her “to be cancelled”, after a cellphone analyst revealed the Empini singer may have had contact with one of the men accused of killing Meyiwa, her boyfriend at the time.
This sparked debate over events scrapping Kelly’s name from their lineups, with two events pulling the plug on Kelly’s performances, things looked bleak for the mother of 3.
However, Kelly responded that regardless of what comes her way, whoever wants to leave will leave, but those who stay will stay, and she will keep grinding regardless.
In response to Kelly’s stance regarding the narrative that she may have conspired to kill the father of her daughter, the singer took to her Instagram to share a video thanking her fans for supporting her unconditionally.
“I just want to say thank you to all of you. I’ve received all your messages, your DMs and your prayed. I just want to say that I appreciate you.
Hang in there, God is going to show up. Hang in there, just a little longer.”
