South African rapper AKA has announced the release date for his new up and coming album, “Mass Country”.
In conversation with fellow rapper and media personality Slikour, AKA opens up about his contributions to the South African Hip Hop industry as well as delving into his journey as a hip hop artist.
AKA also shared how the Covid-19 pandemic affected the hip hop industry at large.
“The last two years have been weird for me personally, but also for everybody in general because of Covid. When Covid came around everybody had to adapt”, AKA shared.
He continued: “… I think that had a profound effect on what type of music was made. Hip Hop was on the back burner in terms of a lot of people’s attention”.
In addition to this the Hip Hop artist finally revealed the release date for his new album, after months of teasing it.
“27th of January, the day before my birthday. 27th of January, ‘Mass Country’. It’s gonna be fantastic”, AKA noted.
