The body of another woman was recovered from the Jukskei River on Wednesday, 07 December.
This brings the death toll from the drowning caused at a church baptism to 15, with rescuers still searching for a missing toddler.
Johannesburg Emergency Medical Services spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi says a 3-month old baby has still not been found.
At this stage Mulaudzi said they have no hopes of recovering the baby alive. The child was with an older sibling who was 3-years old and their grandmother, whose bodies were both retrieved.
The drowning incident occurred after half of a group of 33 church members were swept away in the current from the river, which was made worse by flash floods.
Mulaudzi said the woman’s body was found under a bridge in Industry Park, Sandton.
The team are continuing the search for the 3-month old on Thursday, 08 December.
