The Jukskei death toll has climbed to 14 after the bodies of 12 more people were found by search and rescue teams on Sunday, 04 December.
This after flash floods swept a group of churchgoers who were performing a baptism at the river away on Saturday.
Two people drowned during the baptism ritual and a large num er of the church group were washed away from the floods.
Officials said they were searching for 15 people on Sunday, and have so far rescued one person with three more still missing.
According to reports about 33 people from the church were attending the baptism ritual.
Most of the bodies were found between the Corlett and Grayston Drive areas.
Gauteng Emergency Services are urging people to stay away from rivers due to high volumes of rain which can cause flash flooding within a matter of minutes.
Most of the bodies were discovered several kilometers away from where the group were, which is due to the heavy current.
Rescue teams will continue searching for the remaining missing individuals.
