Social media blogger Musawenkosi Khawula reportedly made an appearance at the Vredenburg magistrate’s court in the Western Cape on Monday morning.
He is accused of stabbing Wandile Khambule to death in March of this year after the two argued in front of the deceased’s house.
He has previously admitted killing Khambule with a knife, but he claims it was done in self-defence.
When Khawula failed to arrive on time, the magistrate had already issued an arrest warrant for him; however, it was revoked after he arrived.

Khawula was present in court, according to National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila, who also announced that the case had been continued to October 19 to allow for a defence consultation.
“The deceased was stabbed with a knife. According to the accused, they were in a romantic relationship,” said Ntabazalila.
Khawula will continue to be free on bail until his subsequent court date, according to the NPA.
