Gauteng beauty Moratwe Masima might not have won the Miss SA crown but she has high hopes for what she will do next.
The qualified medical doctor finished in the top three. Lalela Mswane was crowned Miss SA 2021.
The runner-up will either get to participate in the Miss World or Miss Universe pageant. Miss Supranational is also an option.
“Extremely excited to represent South Africa on the international stage,” says Moratwe.
Moratwe has already hit the ground running. She attended Lalela’s celebration lunch at Siba Mtongana’s new restaurant on Sunday.
“We joined the @brandsouthafrica family yesterday at @sibamtongana amazing restaurant. What an amazing day filled with thought leaders and important conversations,” Moratwe wrote on Instagram.
History was made
Zimi Mabunzi, who also made the top three, attended the celebration lunch, too. She says her heart is filled with “so much gratitude”.
“1. A never-before moment. History. 3 black young women in the Top 3. 2. @zozitunzi who urged us to take up space, featuring in this image on the screen behind us. Everything about Saturday was so life-changing and I couldn’t have asked to do do this with anyone else,” she wrote.
