Police are investigating a potential murder after a woman’s body was discovered in a “deadly” car crash. The 33-year old woman’s body was found at the scene of a crash in Standerton.
As reported by News24, the woman was stabbed and the car accident was used to conceal her alleged murder.
Three bodies were discovered at the accident scene but according to police only two died in the collision. According to police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, the woman and her boyfriend were seen arguing at a party.
It is suspected that her 31-year old boyfriend stabbed her to death. With the help of another couple at the party, the boyfriend tried to get rid of her body.
The car they were travelling in collided with a truck which resulted in her boyfriend’s death.
A case of culpable homicide is being investigated. The crash also claimed the life of a second woman whose boyfriend survived.
He’s receiving treatment in hospital for injuries sustained.
Police don’t have further information at this stage.
