Video footage has been making rounds on social media showing fans of Ligue 1 side PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) gathered outside the house of Neymar Jr chanting he ‘leaves their club.’
This follows a string of bad results this season. The French outfit has already been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and could fail to retain their league title this season.
The club has condemned the actions of their fans with firmness. “Nothing can justify such acts. Full support to the players and management after this shameful behavior,” read a statement from PSG.
Fans also gathered outside the club’s headquarters demanding management steps down. PSG was acquired by Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar in 2011. This made PSG one of the richest clubs in the world.

Messi to leave PSG at the end of the season
After PSG announced yesterday that they would be suspending Lionel Messi for two weeks as a penalty for visiting Saudi Arabia with his family without authorization, the player’s representatives revealed that he would be leaving PSG at the end of the season.
“There are no doubts about that anymore. Behind the scenes, it’s now understood that Leo’s father Jorge communicated the decision to PSG already one month ago due to the project. It was the final breaking point,” tweeted Football journalist Fabrizio Romano.
It is understood that Saudi side Al Hilal sent an official bid to Leo Messi with a reported salary worth more than €400m a year.
