Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi is being hailed by men around the world for transferring all his wealth to his mother, leaving nothing to his ex-wife in his divorce.
The PSG player who earns a reported $1 million a month, only takes home about 20% of his pay cheque, transferring the rest of the staggering amount directly into his mother’s bank account.
Hakimi made headlines last year at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, for celebrating his goal by kissing his mother.
While the 24-year old football star was ridiculed for being a “momma’s boy” then, he is now being dubbed “The Wise One” by men around the world for protecting his assets and wealth in his divorce.
Better than a prenuptial contract
Hakimi is topping trends list for shocking his soon-to-be ex-wife, Spanish actress, Hiba Abouk, with the revelation that he owns nothing, despite being one of the highest paid players in Ligue 1.
Achraf Hakimi registered all his property, cars, money, jewellery, even his clothing onto his mother’s name. If Hakimi wanted to buy something, he would ask his mother to purchase it for him, on her name.
Hakimi and Abouk began dating in 2018, and were married in 2020, but with the footballer facing allegations of sexual assault, his wife filed for divorce in March 2023.
The couple have two sons together, and Abouk was hoping to secure 50% of Hakimi’s possessions in the divorce.
Unfortunately for Abouk, Achraf Hakimi protected his wealth better than any prenuptial contract could have. Now, the Spanish actress may actually have to cover the footballer’s legal fees in their divorce because with nothing to his name, she is worth more than him.
Neither Hakimi nor his manager commented on the sexual assault claims.
