South Africa prepares to face Guinea at Orlando Stadium before traveling to Egypt for crucial fixtures.

Pitso Mosimane has trimmed his preliminary squad from 35 to 30 players as Bafana Bafana gear up for a demanding schedule of upcoming fixtures.
The finalized 30-man preliminary roster includes:
- Goalkeepers: Ronwen Williams, Veli Mothwa, Ricardo Goss
- Defenders: Khuliso Mudau, Thapelo Morena, Siyabonga Ngezana, Grant Kekana, Rushine De Reuck, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Aubrey Modiba, Innocent Maela
- Midfielders: Sphephelo Sithole, Teboho Mokoena, Njabulo Blom, Goodman Mosele, Thabang Monare, Themba Zwane, Pule Mmodi, Mihlali Mayambela, Percy Tau, Monnapule Saleng
- Forwards: Lyle Foster, Zakhele Lepasa, Lebo Mothiba, Bongokuhle Hlongwane, Mihlali Mayambela, Evidence Makgopa, Ashley Du Preez, Zakhele Lepasa, Tshegofatsho Mabasa

Competitive action resumes on 26 September when South Africa hosts Guinea in a crucial encounter at Orlando Stadium. Following this home fixture, the squad will travel to Cairo for an away qualifier against Eritrea on 30 September.
Remaining in Egypt, the team will conclude their international window with a friendly match against the hosts on 4 October. Addressing the squad selection, the technical team noted in the official press release:
“This preliminary reduction allows us to focus our preparations on the core group needed to deliver strong performances across both competitive qualifiers and the upcoming international friendly.”
