Erling Haaland has committed his future to Manchester City by signing a new 10-year contract, extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2034.
The 24-year-old Norwegian striker has made a sensational impact since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022. In his first season at the Etihad, Haaland played a pivotal role in the club’s historic Treble triumph, securing the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League titles.
His extraordinary goal-scoring prowess saw him net 52 goals across all competitions — the highest tally ever achieved by a Premier League player — including a record-breaking 36 league goals that earned him the Premier League Golden Boot.
Haaland’s stellar performances also earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including the PFA Player of the Year, Premier League Player of the Year, and Young Player of the Year awards, as well as the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year honour.
Reflecting on his new contract, Haaland expressed his excitement: “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great Club.
“Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people and amazing supporters. It’s the kind of environment that brings out the best in everyone.
“I want to thank Pep, his coaching staff, my teammates, and everyone at the Club who has helped me so much over the past couple of years. They have made this a truly special place to be, and now I am City, no matter what.
“My focus remains on continuing to develop, working hard to improve, and doing my best to help the team achieve even more success in the future.”
