We often hear people say that there are no shortcuts in life but is this entirely true? Generally, human beings will look for an easy way to navigate any situation.
However, the big question is – do shortcuts really work? Some shortcuts might work in the short term but prove detrimental in the long run.
The Best T in the City listeners share their experiences with shortcuts.
“Shortcuts are nice until you get ripped off,” a Kaya 959 listener shares that after University, he bought a driver’s license only to realise later that it was fake.
Another listener was promised to make double the money if she invested in trading. She took out a loan and got scammed. She is still paying off the load now.
“Be clever with your shortcuts”. Someone on social media warns that if you are going to take shortcuts, you must be clever because they might come back to you.
A few people admit to breaking the law, especially when no one is watching. Someone on Twitter says if the traffic light turns red while they are approaching it, they just drive past.
It’s all good when you get away with it but what happens if you get caught? Or even worse, cause an accident?
The consensus on social media is that shortcuts are all good in the beginning until they start catching up to you.
