Upgraded K73 Allandale Road has officially opened.
The renovated K73 Allandale Road in Midrand, Johannesburg, has officially opened according to Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi.
The multi-million rand road project included upgrading Woodmead Drive and Allandale Road, building a bridge alongside the road, and building a dual carriageway of the new road section between Montrose and Allandale Roads.
“Gauteng as the economic hub of the country cannot be a province with lots of potholes or roads that are not well maintained. I am excited that this project was done within budget,”
“If a municipality can’t fix their roads….if a municipality is busy with squabbles, we will take over their function and fix the road.
“Beyond 2024, all spheres of government must review laws and regulations in improving infrastructure in government. We are building more roads and even the rules and regulations must be agile to accommodate changes,”
Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi.
