On Saturday, 18 November, an 18-year-old female and 21-year-old male went missing, after a cleansing ritual that was approved of by the girl’s family.
There is still no sign of the male, but after 5-days, the hope of him being found alive is grim.
Search and rescue dive teams alerted Emergency Services teams who were further up the Kliprivier stream of their discovery.
The area has now officially been declared a crime scene and has been closed off to allow forensic teams to gather evidence.
