- Jayden Adams’ girlfriend Aqueelah Adendorf has broken her silence over rumours accusing her of being involved in his death.
- Adendorf says it is unfair to make her the villain based on speculation and has called for respect towards the late footballer’s memory.
- Police have confirmed that Adams’ death remains under investigation but there is no suspicion of foul play.
Jayden Adams’ girlfriend, Aqueelah Adendorf, has broken her silence over rumours accusing her of being involved in the footballer’s death.
Adendorf, who is also the mother of Adams’ five-year-old daughter, took to Instagram on Sunday, 27 July 2026, saying the amount of false information and stories being shared about her has been “truly heartbreaking”.
“It’s unfair to make me the villain based on rumours. I don’t owe strangers an explanation,” she wrote.
She pleaded with the public to stop using the late footballer’s name to create a narrative that fits their own assumptions.
“He deserves to be remembered with dignity and respect,” she said.
Adendorf has reportedly been receiving death threats from unknown individuals who accuse her of being responsible for Adams’ death.
Her comments come a week after reports claimed that she had a heated argument with the father of her child after visiting a nightclub just hours before he reportedly died.
According to media reports, the couple, who were believed to have been intoxicated, allegedly argued about money and his friends.
Jayden Adams died earlier this month, shortly after the South African football team returned from the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His death remains under police investigation; however, Cape Town police have clarified that they do not suspect any foul play in the death of the 25-year-old.
Adams was laid to rest on Saturday, 25 July 2026.
