“This is not a playground” – Malema reacts to a scuffle involving a group of white males outside EFF headquarters.

A small group of white men got into a scuffle with EFF members ahead of the press briefing.

They allegedly wanted to attend the press briefing uninvited, and tempers flared.

The incident was minutes before EFF leader Julius Malema began addressing the media at the party’s headquarters at Johannesburg’s Winnie Madikizela Mandela House.

The incident follows the controversy that occurred at the party’s 10th-anniversary celebrations when the EFF leader chanted “kill the boer, kill the farmer” at the FNB stadium.

The men were aggressively turned away and a few videos of the altercation have been shared on social media.

Malema took time to react to what had happened, saying this was unacceptable.”

“Racists want to march into our offices. This is not a playground – it is a revolutionary house.”

“Here it is not a place where we are scared of the white man. Here is the only liberated zone in South Africa.”

“No white man comes taking chances here,” said Malema

A warning to the Democratic Alliance

Malema further warned the Democratic Alliance against marching towards the EFF Headquarters, saying Steenhuisen should try doing what he did when he marched to Luthuli House.

He emphasized that the Winnie Mandela House was not for chance takers and was a liberated zone that was well protected.

“That’s why I told John Steenhuisen, you are a small boy; the EFF is not the ANC. Let John try and do those things he has been doing by marching to the ANC; he must try and do it here,’’

“As long as you are wearing the DA T-shirt that day in a disrespectful manner, you will know what the EFF is. Let him try it.’’

“You can argue your politics wherever you want, don’t come here; we never go to anyone’s offices; we never interfere with anyone’s programmes, but we are not going to be undermined. We have got everything we need to protect this office, and I (we) will defend it with our lives,’’ said Malema.
