- Post-mortem results have revealed that Jayden Lee-Meek died from blunt force trauma to the head.
- Jayden was reported missing in May 2025 by his mother Tifanny Meek.
- Tifanny stands accused of the murder of her son.
The investigating officer in the case of 11-year-old Jayden Lee-Meek has revealed that the child died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Sergeant Nceba Diko testified in court against Jayden’s mother, Tifanny Meek, who stands accused of murdering her son.
Jayden-Lee’s lifeless body was found on the staircase of their Fleurhof residential complex two months ago.
His mother had initially reported him missing, but the state argues that he had returned home from school safely on the day of the incident.
Court proceedings revealed that Jayden was killed inside his mother’s flat, and signs of physical abuse were visible on his body, including multiple bruises.
The cause of death was determined to be consistent with blunt force head injuries. These injuries were not initially observed by officers, but the doctor who conducted the post-mortem found the trauma at the back of the child’s head,
He also confirmed that toxicology tests ruled out any signs of poisoning.
Tifanny Meek has denied the charges, insisting that she is being framed and would never harm her own child.
The case will continue at the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
