Mzwanele Manyi has been appointed uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party Chief Whip with immediate effect.
In a statement issued by the party on Wednesday, 28 August Manyi’s appointment was confirmed and he replaces Sihle Ngubane in the role.
The MK Party is confident Manyi’s leadership will further strengthen the party’s commitment to serving the people with integrity and dedication.
“Honourable Manyi brings a wealth of executive experience to this administrative yet political role, as he served in government as a Director General and led as a corporate executive in the private sector.
His extensive expertise will add impetus to the ongoing work within the party, whilst building upon the solid foundation laid by Honourable Ngubane.”

Eight other MPs were also dismissed from the party.
MK Party submitted to Parliament 21 supplementation names of MPs. The Party said the members’ swearing-in does not in any way signify an acceptance of the May results and that they are continuing with actively pursuing legal avenues.
