The burnt body of a woman was discovered in Mahikeng, two days after she went missing.
Rorisang Baakwalanya who was living with her boyfriend in Lokaleng Village, Mahikeng went missing on 25 January.
Reports suggest that the 29-year old had a fight with her boyfriend prior to her family being unable to locate her.
The mother of three, leaves behind an 11-month old and two older children who live with family in Rustenburg.
When Rorisang’s family couldn’t reach her, they reportedly contacted her boyfriend. It was then they learned that the two had a fight and the boyfriend told them he didn’t know where she was.
Her family reported Rorisang missing and her burnt remains were discovered two days later.
A cause of death and motive has not been established yet, and police have not made an arrest yet.
The organisation Women for Change is calling for justice for Rorisang.
“Her life was cut short brutally by a monster, just like that. This is heartbreaking, a young lady, harmless and defenceless.”
Meanwhile the decomposed body of another woman was found under a man’s bed.
Cleo Diko went missing in Mandalay in October 2022, after she was last seen at a pub with the suspect.
The 34-year old’s badly decomposed body was covered with cement and tiles on 27 January.
