This is not the only reason why the doctor is at the forefront of another media discussion. Following the findings of the treatment of two young patients who have not experienced a satisfactory outcome, the doctor is now in court for misconduct charges for the orthotropic treatments of two children.
In both cases, the treatment was done to change the cranial structure of the children’s faces. The doctor is accused of not offering the appropriate monitoring of the patients following the treatment.
Lydia Barnfather who represents the General Dental Council shares that the two children should not have received the treatment that they underwent. She also added that the children’s cranial structure was perfectly normal for their age.
The doctor posted a video about day one of the trial and he believes that his team has a strong argument. He makes this assumption because the prosecution needs a full week to look into the evidence his team provided. He isn’t happy with the delays created by the prosecution because it means that his practice will remain closed for longer than anticipated.
