Since Sunday, British journalist Piers Morgan has been teasing his tell-all interview with Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Through a series of clips shared by Piers from the interview, fans were led to believe that Ronaldo will expose Man United’s crooked ways in the interview airing this evening.
On Tuesday, Piers tweeted that there would be new stunning revelations from the interview around 10 pm that day.
The said “revelation” was about the child Ronaldo lost in 2022. Ronaldo’s partner Georgina was pregnant with their second par of twins. The male twin died during childbirth while the female twin survived.
Ronaldo told Piers that it was probably the worst moment of his life since his father’s death.
“You know when you have a kid that you expect that everything will be normal and you have that problem. It was hard.
“It was a difficult time because we don’t understand why it happened to us. It was very difficult to understand what is going on in that period of our lives, shared Ronaldo.
“The football just goes on so fast. Many competitions and it was a difficult moment for me and my wife. It was so difficult because I don’t know if I should cry or smile.”
What caught a lot of people by surprise, including me, is that the whole football world knew about the loss of Ronaldo’s child.
Losing a child is a painful experience for any parent and it was low for Piers, even by his standards, to use that as click-bait.
The 90 minutes interview is spread across two episodes airing on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Piers Morgan teasing tonights video release the way he did, when it’s Ronaldo sharing the pain of losing his child, is crass beyond belief.

At 10pm it was a heartbreaking clip of Ronaldo talking about the passing of his child. It’s not patronising, it’s sad to see a player I’ve loved half my life reduced to this. I await the full interview pic.twitter.com/EqXyGweaub
