Deborah Fraser, a great gospel singer who died on Sunday 15 May at Chris Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto after a brief illness, has been mourned by the South African music industry.
The 57-year-family old’s has released memorial and funeral arrangements to the public, stating that two memorial services would be held on Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20 in Johannesburg and KwaZulu-Natal, respectively.
The family has released the details of her memorial and burial service.

On Saturday, May 21, the legendary gospel vocalist will be laid to rest in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal.
Fraser’s supporters expected a memorial to be conducted shortly and warned Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthetwa not to attend.
They accuse Minister Nathi Mthetwa for the lack of assistance given to artists during the pandemic.
