Vision Tactical have confirmed another explosion, this time in Chloorkop, Kempton Park.
The suspected hydrogen gas explosion occurred at a private business in the area on Friday, 21 July, at approximately 11h30.
Speaking to Kaya 959, spokesperson for the emergency response intervention unit, Yaseen Theba said there were no casualties, or extensive damage to property.
“An explosion has been confirmed in Chloorkop, Kempton Park. It is suspected to be a hydrogen gas explosion. There are no serious injuries or casualties, but one person has been transported to a medical facility for treatment after sustaining minor injuries.
The roads are all clear, and traffic is flowing as per normal. The explosion took place at a private business.”

Theba shared that the area has been assessed and police are on site.

The latest explosion comes just two days after the devastating gas explosion in the JHB CBD on Wednesday, 19 July which claimed 1 live, with 48 others injured.
Another explosion due to suspected illegal mining on Thursday afternoon in Bram Fischerville brings the number of explosions in Johannesburg this week to three.
