US singer/songwriter Chris Brown has set a new record by selling out the iconic 94,000-capacity FNB Stadium in Johannesburg within just two hours.
Following complaints from fans who were unable to purchase tickets, the promoters have announced a second show scheduled for 15th December.
“Due to overwhelming demand, Chris Brown has added a second show in Johannesburg, and tickets are now on sale. This is going to be the concert of the year, so don’t miss out. Secure your spot before it’s too late,” said event organisers Big Concerts.
Ticket prices range from R515 to R5,745.
However, women’s advocacy group Women For Change has recently called for Chris Brown to be barred from performing in South Africa due to his history of abuse.
On Friday morning, the Siz The World team discussed the matter and invited listeners to share their opinions on whether they support Chris Brown’s concert.
“Women For Change is deeply concerned about the upcoming Chris Brown concert scheduled for 14th December 2024 in Johannesburg. This event is taking place just days after the world observes the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” stated Women For Change SA.
