Reality television star Mome Mahlangu has completed working on her tell-all book with the help of her pastor.
Titled Mome’s Depth of Black Love, her book addresses sensitive topics such as boloi and toxic in-laws in black families.
She says her book has a healing aspect with women’s struggles on black love across the globe. It also serves to help black parents understand black love.
Mome recalls a time when she was driving in Tembisa with her husband and a friend of hers came to their car to tell her that her in-laws were convinced that she poisoned her husband.
“As a survivor, I never retaliated – the only time I did was when I was driving in Tembisa with my husband and his friend came to the car to say my in-laws are adamant that I poisoned my husband (umdlisile),” she continues.
“There’s no sorry that will bring my kids to life that will remove the words of being esifebe so mthakathi ,we raising 2 daughters who will marry one day in my heart I wish they don’t they just become wealthy and travel.”
If their son decides to get married one day, Mome says she’ll be a good mother-in-law to her daughter-in-law.
“I have one handsome son who is not much into relationships but I’m ready to be a good mother-in-law one day if he does settle.
“This bible is for every girl child who aspires to marry, a single woman or a married woman who is stuck with Toxic inlaws but scared to be Shamed because her husband is in denial of the abuse.”
Furthermore, she says it’s okay not to have the perfect relationship with your in-laws.
“Darling it’s ok not to have a perfect relationship with your inlaws, you didn’t come with them or meet them in the street of Melville I met Toss Ass Mo 13 years ago, God made sure our kids will have homes while I’m still alive.
“I thank you Toll Ass Mo for holding my hand in this and helping me get over my fears of them, to my father inlaw I thank you for being the man you are to me and Mo May God give u all your heart desires and happy birthday for yesterday.”
