Mihlali Ndamase: “Please can we all come together and stop drinking!”

By: Natasha Archary

As the festive season approaches beauty influencer and YouTuber Mihlali Ndamase has called on her followers to stop drinking. Taking to Twitter the content creator raised eyebrows for her big ask, “Please can we all come together and stop drinking!”

Her contradictory tweet raised eyebrows because she had previously tweeted that she would rather give up meat before she gave up booze.

“I’d give up meat before I give up alcohol, surely I have a problem ,” was her tweet from 2020.

Her tweet ruffled many online feathers with South Africans questioning what motivated her to “abuse” them in this way.

Many responses reminded the YouTuber that the country has only just returned to a semblance of normalcy after alcohol restrictions.

South Africans shared their distaste at her request by trolling her in the comments. “Nothing will stop me from drinking, not even Level 4,” was one of the responses.

It’s not the first time the popular beauty and makeup curator posted something that had eyes rolling.

A while ago she took to her social media to take a jab at women who used muti to keep their partners.

Just last month Mihlali attended a World Champagne event, with French champagne brand Moët & Chandon.

She also got tongues wagging after a video of her after a night out went viral.

Earlier this month she told Boity Thulo that she once had a R50K girlfriend allowance.
