Gayton McKenzie says SA schools are no place for the children of illegal immigrants.
Gayton McKenzie, the mayor of the Central Karoo district and the head of the Patriotic Alliance, claims that undocumented foreign students should not be placed before South African children in schools.

His remarks come as thousands of students around the nation returned to school in inland regions.
He urged the South African Home Affairs department to visit all schools in the country.
“All children of illegal foreigners shouldn’t be allowed in our schools in South Africa.
“Home affairs should visit all schools before we do; this is nonsense. We must now explain to South African parents why their children cannot be placed.
“We warned you,” said McKenzie.
