Watch the moment here:
Her birthday began with a surprise from her boys, who helped her usher in a memorable celebration by serving her breakfast in bed and singing to her.
2021 is also a very special year for her family, marking 20 years of her successful construction company. She shared a heart-warming message of all the milestone this year.
“This year is a special year for me and my family. I celebrate 20 years in the construction industry. My son Andile Mpisane turned 20 and funded over 20 students with their fees. It’s all about the 20’s this year. In celebration of my 20 years in the construction industry I’m going to be housing 20 families in need by the end of the year. Today we are breaking ground on the first house out of the 20, and weather permitting we’ll be handing it over at the end of April. COVID has really been an eye opener and shown the importance of shelter.”
My team and I are hard at work to make this happen seamlessly, more details will follow as soon as contracts have been finalised.❤️❤️❤️?????????”
She was recently featured on SABC 1’s Expressions where she shared the story of her 20-year journey with her company, and as part of the celebration, she will be housing 20 families in her community.
Tweeps have also shared some of their concerns about how MamMkhize acquired her enormous wealth. Over the years there’s been stories of how she may was involved in questionable business practices.
I can’t believe that there’s some of you on here who are excited and inspired by MamKhize’s money moves… That woman stole life from people ?, those RDP? Guys MamKhize is not saint

I’m always so confused by people who celebrate and love MaMkhize, but then also bemoan and complain about corruption. The Cognitive dissonance is confusing. ?

Please remember how this woman got rich. She used political contacts to get huge tenders she couldn’t deliver on. RDP houses crumbled, the state was looted and poor people suffered. I don’t want to see her cars or her outfits. She should be shamed, not celebrated. https://t.co/VnFWUB65mj
