Woman King actress, Viola Davis celebrated her 58th birthday in Cape Town, and thanked all her fans for sending her love by using a South African saying, enkosi, which translates to “Thank you.”
Beaming with the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean behind her, the actress looked pleased to be back in Mzansi.
Sharing her multiple birthday cakes on Instagram, the American actress and producer subtly revealed that she was in Cape Town, with one of the cupcakes showing her current location.
The actress frequents South Africa on holiday, with her husband Julius Tennon, and was in the country last year, where she proudly wore traditional beads.
Filming of the Woman King was also done in South Africa throughout 2021 and 2022.
Viola was given the nickname “Vuyelwa” in the comments section, because of her love for South Africa.
The 58-year old is one of the few to have been awarded an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony award for her performances.
Viola Davis has two new movies coming out in 2023, Air, and Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
