Toll Ass Mo and his wife Mome Mahlangu are heading for a divorce after 11-years of marriage.
This was confirmed by the South African comedian in an interview with DJ Fresh, on his podcast WAW: What A Week, on Friday, 21 July.
The couple who have a daughter together, are currently separated, having reached a point in their marriage where their relationship has been deemed irreconcilable.
Toll Ass Mo, whose real name is Mongezi Mhlangu, was acquitted of rape charges last year, after model and actress, Lerato Moloi, is said to have fabricated the allegations against him.
Maintaining his innocence, the TV personality and funnyman said the trauma he had been subjected to from the entire ordeal put a strain on his family, career as well as his mental health and emotional well-being.
Speaking to DJ Fresh, Toll Ass Mo declared that he will never again date a black woman because he has been traumatized by black women.
This despite his wife standing firmly by his side throughout the rape allegations, believing that he was not the gender-based abuser he was being painted as.
“Currently, right now Mome and I are separated, we’re separated and are in the process of filing for a divorce. People grow, and we grew apart.
We went through so many different struggles in our relationship, I was there for her and she was there for me, and the most important thing is the respect between the two of us.
I’m not going to pull a Somizi on you and have a whole special on my divorce, no, you can’t celebrate such things.
It really hurts me so much because we have reached a point where things are just not working between the two of us.”
Toll Ass Mo says both Mome and himself have tried everything under the sun to make their marriage work, but he made the decision to walk away.
“It’s me that’s walking away Fresh, it’s me, because I am f**king traumatized. I’m traumatized by black women. Although Mome is not part of my trauma, but even when I was making love to my wife, I would get flashbacks of this woman’s face in my mind.”
The comedian says he needs time to heal from all the trauma he’s been subjected to from the rape allegations, and said he can only do that if he has time to himself.
