The National Football League (NFL) has revealed that pop icon Rihanna will be the half-time performer at the Super Bowl in Arizona in February.
The nine-time Grammy winner announced the news on Twitter by sharing a picture of an NFL-branded football.
In a press release released on Sunday night, the 34-year-old was referred to as a “generational talent” by the organizers.

According to the NFL, this year’s 14-minute performance attracted more than 120 million viewers, making it one of the most sought-after music events.

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar were among the artists who performed during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show earlier this year.
Five Creative Arts Emmy nominations were received for the performance, and it won three of them, including an outstanding live variety special, a first for the Halftime show.
The Weeknd, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Prince, Madonna, and other artists have also performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in the past.
