“I cried because I needed help” – Dr Malinga speaks on how he received financial help from the EFF
Dr Malinga recently opened up about how the Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) political party assisted him with his huge Tax debt.
In 2022, Dr. Malinga sobbed in an interview with Podcast and Chill with Mac G as he remembered how nobody had assisted him when the SA Revenue Service had taken his belongings.
South African Revenue Service (SARS) Sars approached him and claimed he owed them more than R2 million. He established a monthly payment plan and paid the first R1 million, but he was unable to keep it up. Dr. Malinga revealed that DJ Maphorisa, Black Coffee, King Monada, and Oskido as some of the artists who donated money to help him along with EFF leader Malema for paying an accountant to assist him.

He was speaking at an EFF Workers Day Community rally in Soshanguve, where he expressed how his life has changed since the party’s assistance.
”I cried tears. When people see you crying, they tend to judge. I cried because I needed help, I sacrificed my celebrity status; I didn’t care about being judged. I am not buying face. I didn’t go out and rob people, like many people having financial issues. I asked for help. I now have a financial advisor and an accountant helping me with paperwork,”
