Eyadini Lounge has confirmed the passing of its owner, Jabulani Thamsanqa Zama.
The founder of the popular lounge in Durban suffered a severe stroke on Saturday, 12 August, and his sudden death was announced on Sunday morning, 13 August.
Due to Zama’s sudden passing, Eyadini Lounge will be closed until further notice.
“We are saddened by the passing of Jabulani Thamsanqa Zama, known as Jigga Money.
An amazing soul, full of love, joy and faith, ascended to heaven, away from us, but closer to God.
Due to the sudden news, Eyadini Lounge will be temporarily closed until further notice.
We would like to extend our greatest gratitude to every one of you for always being by his side.
His family requests to mourn privately.
Funeral details to be confirmed.”
The well-known businessman, better known as Jigga Money, was much loved for his community outreach.
His establishment was known for the vibe, good shisa nyama, and for pulling in some of the hottest DJ’s and celebrities.
The likes of Zodwa Wabantu made her first appearance gracing the stage at an Eyadini Lounge event.
