Will Smith took to his Instagram to share the first trailer for KING RICHARD, starring Will Smith.
The story follows Richard Williams as he raises future tennis phenomenons Venus and Serena Williams.
In the film from director Reinaldo Marcus Green, the two-time Oscar nominee stars as Richard Williams, a man so dedicated to turning his young daughters into professional tennis players that he made a 78-page plan for their careers before they were even born.

Richard William calls out a journalist
One of the most commonly viewed clips that best encapsulates Richard William love for his daughters is seen in this clip, where he confronts a journalist when his line of questioning makes him uneasy.

He’s still very present in his daughter’s lives and was seen a few weeks ago training with Venus William in the court.
At 79, he rarely makes public appearances and has not attended tournaments where both Venus and her sister Serena Williams have competed in some time.

The movie is Executive produced by Venus and Serena alongside their sister Isha Price, King Richard also features Aunjanue Ellis, Tony Goldwyn, Dylan McDermott, and Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton as the future stars.

King Richard opens Nov. 19 in theaters and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
