- The South African Weather Service has forecast cold and mostly dry conditions across much of the country this weekend.
- Coastal showers are expected in parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, while light snowfall is possible in the Eastern Cape.
- Residents are encouraged to dress warmly, particularly during the mornings and evenings.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has urged the public to prepare for dry and chilly weather conditions across much of the country this weekend.
Most inland provinces, including Gauteng, the Free State, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga, are expected to remain fine and cool, particularly on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, scattered coastal showers will continue to affect parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
Temperatures are expected to be slightly warmer in the far northern parts of Limpopo and Gauteng.
In the Western Cape, residents can expect cloudy skies, patches of fog and light rain along the south-eastern coastline before conditions improve later on Friday.
The Eastern Cape will experience isolated showers and rain along coastal areas and adjacent interior regions during the morning, with a 30% chance of rainfall before skies begin to clear in the afternoon.
Coastal communities in the Eastern Cape face a 30% chance of showers and rain, while strong southerly to south-westerly winds are expected along the coastline.

SAWS has advised the public to dress warmly, especially during the mornings and evenings, as cold conditions are expected to persist across some parts of the country.
