Saturdays on Kaya 959 are about to get a whole lot warmer as Sweetness Motsepe steps behind the microphone to launch her brand-new show, Saturday Select 15:00- 18:00.
From her early days starting out at Mams FM in Mamelodi at just 19 years old, to finding her feet at YOU FM, Sweetness’s career has been a beautiful journey of personal and professional growth.
“I grew not only as a broadcaster, but as a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur,” Sweetness reflects.
“That’s what makes radio so special, you get to grow with your audience. Every season of life gives you a new perspective.”
Honoring nostalgia, creating new memories
For a show called Saturday Select, the playlist is everything. Sweetness is bringing a deeply intentional approach to the music, firmly believing that “good music knows no age.”

“A song can take you back to a very special moment while creating a new one in the present,” she says.
