Prominent media personality and medical professional Dr Musa Mthombeni has reached a significant milestone in his healthcare career, officially qualifying as a Neurointerventionist.
The achievement marks the completion of his highly demanding sub-specialty training in Interventional Neuroradiology and Endovascular Neurosurgery.
Dr Mthombeni shared the landmark news on his Instagram page, expressing immense relief and gratitude after enduring a gruelling training schedule. In his announcement, he extended heartfelt thanks to his mentors, colleagues, friends, and family for their unwavering support throughout the intense fellowship.
This specialised qualification will now enable him to focus on treating complex conditions affecting the blood vessels within the human brain.
Reflecting on the rigorous journey and his readiness for this new medical chapter, Dr Mthombeni shared:
“I’ve officially wrapped up my sub-specialty training in Interventional Neuroradiology / Endovascular Neurosurgery. Translation: I am now a fully qualified Neurointerventionist. Yes, you can trust me around your brain’s blood vessels. I am so excited to step into this next chapter, apply these skills, and changing some lives in a field I have absolutely fallen in love with.”
This latest success further highlights Dr Mthombeni’s rapid advancement and dedication within the medical field. It follows closely on the heels of another major academic triumph in July 2025, when he graduated with a Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology from the University of the Witwatersrand.
