School holidays bring about a delightful transformation in a child’s persona.
Gone are the early morning alarms and the strict routines, replaced by a newfound freedom that lights up their eyes.
Their usual focus on homework and classroom activities shifts to a world of play and exploration. During this time, a child’s creativity tends to flourish. Without the confines of structured lessons, their minds are free to wander and invent.
They spend an entire afternoon drawing fantastical creatures, composing elaborate stories, designing complicated Lego creations or playing umgusha with their friends.
Andy asked “You know as adults, there’s the work you, the weekend you, there’s the when you get home you. Those are all the the different types of personalities that are activated based on the environment or the mode you’re in. The same goes with kids, there is the school going them, there’s the weekend them and then there’s a school holiday them. There’s something that get activated in them as soon as they hear, school is out for the next couple of weeks. I just want to know what is your child’s persona these school holidays?”
