Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo’s mother, Zama, wants to “iron out” her issues with Babes Wodumo.
According to Briefly, the 65-year-old has made a complete about-turn as far as their relationship is concerned.
Just last week, Zama made headlines after a viral video showed her bashing her new daughter-in-law.
Zama announced to the world that Babes was pretending to be pregnant. She even went as far as claiming that Babes was using a sponge to fake a baby bump.
“Maybe she is going to give birth to a cat, I don’t know. I don’t want this woman who got married to Mampintsha and I am saying this in public,” a skeptical Zama said in the video.

Babes Wodumo claps back
But Babes hit back at her mother-in-law’s claims. She threatened to lay a charge against her for humiliating her with the false claims.
“I am pregnant, whether she likes it or not. If she has problems with it, she must deal with it… I know most of the things she says when she is drunk should not be taken seriously, but this time she has gone too far,” she told the Daily News.

An olive branch
Zama is hoping to put the incident behind her. She told Briefly in an interview that she wants to apologise to Babes.
“At the end of the day, she is my daughter-in-law, and we have to iron out issues and move past. Mandla is my son, and if he chooses Babes Wodumo, then there’s nothing I can do.”
Meanwhile, Mampintsha has made it clear that he is standing by his wife.
He shared a post on Facebook with a caption that made fun of his mother’s sponge comments.
Mampintsha said he is sticking with the mother of his little sponge.
