This Valentine’s Day, South African celebrities delivered an abundance of content with well-curated photoshoots, setting the tone for a day of love.
Some stars and their partners went above and beyond, showcasing their extravagant gifts and romantic gestures.
Singer Mawhoo shared that she and her partner booked an intimate private space for two, where they enjoyed a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. Meanwhile, actress-turned-DJ Thuli Phongolo revealed her Valentine’s Day spoils, proudly displaying her new Louis Vuitton bag, countless boxes of red roses, exquisite jewellery from Browns, and a gleaming new Rolex.
On the other hand, Real Housewives of Durban star Nonku Williams chose to celebrate herself this Valentine’s Day. Holding a bouquet of red roses, she expressed, “This Valentine’s Day, I’m celebrating the one love that has stood the test of time—my own.” She continued, “I’ve poured love into others, given pieces of myself away, and learned the hard way that real love starts within. Today isn’t about roses or romantic gestures—it’s about honouring the woman I’ve become, the lessons I’ve learned, and the strength I carry.”
Williams emphasised that self-love is the kind of love that “never fades, never betrays, and never asks you to be anything other than unapologetically yourself.” She added, “So here’s to loving myself fiercely, to choosing joy, to embracing every part of my journey—scars and all. And if you needed a reminder today: You are worthy. You are enough. You are your own greatest love story.”
